One definition of soul is; a person’s emotional and moral nature, where the most private thoughts and feelings are hidden

One definition of mate is; something that matches: either of a pair of things that belong together

So a soul mate would be someone who belongs with you. You mesh and you are compatible on a physical and mental level BEYOND what you may even be aware of. I guess its not so hard to believe that if someone if so perfect for you that they would be able to know what you feel and what you think even if you don’t express it.

People always say that everyone has that one person who is right for them, their soul mate…

How do you know who that person is?

Are there tell-tell signs that hey, this is the ONE?

I mean, if there are signs, somebody should write them down and publish them because I myself, would really like to know. I know I am not the only one who has been in a relationship or two, or fell in love with more than a few, and just SWORE it was right, and in the end… it was crap. Well, it doesn’t always end up crappy, but you drift apart, get tired of each other, or just move on. Either way, its over so they couldn’t have been your soul mate. Or could they?

What if you had your soul mate and let them slip right from your grasp. And I know EVERYBODY male or female has had those friends who you were so cool with but you just were not trying to deal with them like that for one reason or another. Maybe they weren’t really your type, not all that cute, or maybe you just didn’t like them like that. Maybe you were so cool that you didn’t want to ruin the friendship, or maybe you were so close that they became like a little brother or sister or that pesky next door neighbor that you just kick it with from time to time. What if one of them were actually your soul mate?

Is it possible that you could “belong” to someone, while on the other hand, they “belong” to someone else.

Point is, this is all… (excuse me) bullshit.

Learn to belong to your damn self, that way you wont be on such a hell-bent mission to find this so called perfect love. If you spend all your time searching for a soul mate you’ll miss out on chances to actually be happy or you’ll stick with some idiot trying to force them to be your “soul mate”. And lets face it, chemistry is chemistry, you can even believe in love at first sight, but nobody just starts off being that damn close and connected to you. So if you don’t feel sparks and sprinkles when you first get involved with someone, don’t just brush them off and move on. If you’re supposed to belong together, it may take time, but you can grow together. There is nothing better than progressing with someone you care about. But don’t take that to the extreme. You can love someone, try to grow with them, and give it time, but don’t be a fool. If you see a dead end, don’t try to force it. You’ll just end up stuck and unhappy or screwed over in the long run.

You can let life take its course, but that doesn’t mean you have no control of the GPS, feel me?
